Nurses Day

On Nurses Day, I’d like to thank nurses in Wakefield, Horbury, and Ossett for all of their hard work and perseverance as they are often the unsung heroes of the NHS.

I pledge to do better as warm words and sticking plaster solutions are not enough to provoke real change.

Due to the mismanagement of the Conservative Government, patients and nurses alike are experiencing the majority of the impact due to the favoring of the non-dom tax status as this allows wealthy individuals to pay their taxes abroad.

Labour aims to increase the number of nurses and midwives by 10,000 each year, and relieve the burden on nurses and on waiting times, something the Conservatives have been unable to accomplish.
