Wakefield MP stands up for veterans and servicemen and women

Wakefield has a proud military history. We are proud of our veterans and servicemen and women in the Armed Forces. It is the ultimate public service - and military personnel must be at the heart of our defence plans.

Yet, the latest Veterans Satisfaction Survey shows huge dissatisfaction with Veterans UK.

I have been contacted by constituents who are struggling to access the War Pension Scheme and Armed Forces Compensation Scheme. This is not good enough for our veterans.

Today, I asked Defence Ministers what steps they are taking to address this, during this cost-of-living crisis.
