  Social Media.

Why we can't respond to all mentions and

messages on social media platforms.

In today's digital age, social media has become a vital tool for communication, allowing individuals to connect and share information instantly. However, the sheer volume of messages and mentions received on these platforms can make it challenging to monitor and respond to each one effectively. Recognising this, we have implemented a streamlined approach to ensure the efficient and secure management of casework enquiries.

To provide constituents with the best possible service, we request that all casework and policy queries be sent via email or post. This method allows the team to handle enquiries systematically, ensuring that each case is addressed promptly and securely. Constituents can send their queries to the following email address: simon.lightwood.mp@parliament.uk. Alternatively, they can mail their enquiries to Simon Lightwood, 16 Westmorland Street, Wakefield, WF1 1PJ.

For those who prefer to speak directly with a member of the team, the office is available to take calls Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm. Constituents can reach the office at 01924 682269 during these hours for assistance with their enquiries.

While social media remains a valuable tool for engagement, we prioritise the efficient and secure handling of casework through email, post, and telephone support. This approach ensures that every constituent's query is managed with the attention and confidentiality it deserves and why we just cant reply to all messages and mentions on social media platforms.
