After a productive meeting with Cllr Natalie Walton (Labour, Wakefield East), we stopped by Northgate Stores, where we heard first-hand about the impact antisocial behaviour is having on local businesses and residents.

Sadly, Northgate Stores has been directly affected by ongoing issues stemming from Marsh Way House — and they’re not alone. Residents living in Hatfeild Court and the surrounding streets have also raised serious concerns about safety and disruption in the area.

This is not something we’re taking lightly.

Tackling antisocial behaviour is a top priority, and I’m working closely with Wakefield Council, West Yorkshire Police, and local councillors to find lasting solutions. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community — whether you’re running a business, raising a family, or simply going about your day.

If you’ve been affected or have concerns to share, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Your voice matters, and it helps shape the action we take.
