Every time I’m out knocking on doors in Rothwell, one issue comes up again and again: antisocial behaviour in the town centre.
In the past, I was regularly hearing concerns about incidents around Morrisons, which were understandably causing worry for local residents and shoppers. Thanks to some fantastic partnership work between local councillors, the police, and community groups, we’ve seen a real improvement in that area — and I want to thank everyone who’s played a part in making that happen.
But we’re not done yet.
There’s still more to do to make sure Rothwell is a safe, welcoming place for everyone — whether you’re heading to the shops, walking home from school, or just enjoying our town centre.
Have you or your family been affected by antisocial behaviour in Rothwell?I want to hear from you. Your experiences will help shape the action we take next.
There's still more to do. Have you been impacted by antisocial behaviour in Rothwell?
